Rebel Lips

After a long wait Mac opened in Aberdeen, and i've been trying to have spare minute to pop into town and purchase the Rebel Lipstick from them. I know I could of went online to buy it but I personally don't like to cause half of the time when you receive them they look nothing like the picture on the website. So, when going in to see what it looked liked I loved it and bought it. The shade is gorgeous, I know i'm obsessed with my berry shades at the moment but this is really my favourite.

Superdrug Haul

Went into Superdrug to get a few products I ran out off, and couldn't resist buying a few make-up items (whoops). See below what I purchased.

Left to Right

Going from Lips to Eyes

Last but not least a cheeky blush from Sleek. With it being winter a pink cheek looks more natural, and this colour looked gorgeous.

Sleek Blush - Pixie Pink (936) - £4.49

Hats for Winter

With Winter just around the corner thought it was about time I started wearing hats, so here's some below that I have recently purchased.

(Left) Grey Hat - Primark (Under £5)
(Right) Black Hat - New Look (Under £10)
(Couldn't link Primark as they still don't have a website and New Look don't seem to have that particular hat in stock but they do have others simular)

Hats can be a fashionable statement to wear, especially if your having one of those days where you don't want to do much with your hair. This is probably why I bought the hat "Bad Hair Day' from New look. They do have a variety of different hats, definitely have to go back and purchase more.

DIOR LIPSTICK

My love for plum lipsticks hasn't gone anywhere, when meeting my mum for a coffee in Debenhams I noticed there was a 10% sale on make-up this immediately caught my interest. The search for an other plum lipstick was alot easier than I thought. I've never actually bought any make-up from Dior so this lipstick was my very first purchase from thier stand, and i'm not disappointed. Lately i've been going for the darker plum shades and this one is more lighter.

If you've been loving your plum shades like I have, i'm pretty positive that you'll love this colour. It's such a pretty colour on the lips and very pigmented with a slight gloss look. I've worn this alot since I got it and I don't find myself topping up threw the day which I do find you have to do with the drugstore lipsticks. The shade I got was (786) Mauve Mystére I honestly can't hype it up enough. When passing a Dior stand defintely go and try it out. This won't be my last trip to Dior.

MINI OFFICE CITY BAG

At the weekend I was looking on the Zara website to see if they had any nice handbags and realised they had the office city bag BUT in a mini version in stock, this was a must have in my eyes considering my fiancé bought me the I-pad mini last week and the middle section of this bag has a padded zip area to put an I-pad in. I was going away to Aviemore for the night on Sunday and thought it would be a good idea to run in and grab it before there was non in stock luckily there was one Navy and Grey available, so I purchased the Navy as I feel like it goes with anything.

(Available in Navy, Grey & Burgundy)

I never purchased the regular size office city bag when they came out as they went out of stock when I looked but i'm actually in love with the Mini version it's perfect for me. It has the two handles and the shoulder strap but you can clip this off if you'd prefer. It's got three compartments, like I said above the middle zipped section is padded for something like a regular sized I-pad, but cause I put my mini one inside it also leaves me room to put my diary and camera in. The other section of the bag is just plain to put bits and bobs in and the other side has a pocket for a phone and has a 5 card holder slots, obviously you still have room for other things. For being a mini version you still have loads of room and if you like your bag to be organised it's a good purchase.

Rimmel Lipsticks

Rimmel is my favourite brand when buying darker lipsticks, everytime I go to buy a different shade of 'plum' I always find myself back at the Rimmel stand. I'm pretty fussy when buying lip products, I used to be a bronze/nude type of girl but now I'm loving these 'plum' shades alot. I do like a high pigmented/matt colour and the price of the Rimmel lipsticks is reasonable but here's a few of my favourite linked below.

(Top) Dark Night Water-Oops! 380 - Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick - £6.49
(Bottom) Electric Plum 300 - Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick - £6.49

Dark Night Water-Oops! - This is my newest addition and i'm in love with it. It's definitely the more 'plum' colour of them all, it's moisturising when applying so almost looks like a gloss when applied and it's also pigmented. The only bad point I would say about this is I did find myself topping up the colour but overall it's a great purchase for £6.49 you can't really complain for a drugstore lipstick.

(Rossetto) 107 - I don't actually know if the colour is called 'Rossetto' but it's a very deep red, when applying it goes on matt no shimmer or shine to the lipstick, so when applying on your lips it does feel dry so maybe using vaseline might help if you like your lips moisturised. This is my favourite out of the three, personally it makes an outfit more complete  If you like deep matt shades then you should definitely give this one a try.

Eletric Plum - This is the most lightest out the three so more of a day time look if you didn't want something to pigmented although when applying I do find that you can build the colour up. It is moisturising, the colour for me goes well with a smokey eye. Also you do have to top this colour up a lot unfortunately.

Cosy up your feet

First of all, i cannot believe it's October already. Everyone seems to be talking about christmas and we haven't even had Halloween yet, but i'm super excited about both occasions one thing i'm not excited about is the change of weather. I would rather go around in a pair of shorts & flip flop but now it's time for the boots to come out same with the scarfs, hats and i'm sure you know the rest.

Normally for winter i would stick to wearing Ugg boots cause that's just me, I don't like change once I like something I stick to it.  This year however I seemed to have ventured out my comfort zone. Starting with these boots and socks.

Ankle Boots - Primark £8

The ankle boots have hardly been of my feet since I purchased them, tempted to buy an other pair just incase these ones get ruined with snow or rain I love them that much. For £8 you can't really complain they're a brilliant purchase and a nice start to my boot collection for winter. With the cold nights approaching socks are my new best friends, I'm enjoying wearing the ankle socks with a nice lace trim to them they look super cute with the ankle boots from Primark. Unfortunately I can't link the Ankle boots above as they still don't have a website but I did purchase them recentely so hopefully they're still in store. Also you can't help but buy some cosy knee high socks i've attached a few pictures of my favourite above with links where I purchased them. For walking about the house I like to wear slippers and now that it's colder, fluffy slippers are very much an essential for me. These ones below are from Next, when looking for them online I didn't come across them but they do have a very good collection of slippers, so defintely worth having a look.

Family Holiday

This time last week I would of been arriving back in the UK after spending a lovely week in Mallorca with my Mum, Brother, Fianće & my daughter. It was a much deserved holiday after waiting a year after my daughter was born to go. We wanted to wait when she was one to go abroad, and I think we planned it well. It was her first time being on a plane and going to and from Mallorca she fell asleep and she coped extremely well with the heat. The time difference was only an hour apart from Aberdeen which meant she still had her usual afternoon nap. We hired a Villa for a week with a pool, which was amazing to jump into when we were too hot.

It was lovely to enjoy some hot weather especially when Aberdeen was getting slightly colder at nights. Apart from chilling at the Villa we visted the Safari Zoo, when arriving it looked deserted but the animals were all out to see, my favourite part was seeing the lions and tigers they were so close to see which is different from the other safari/zoo's I've been to. We also went to Marineland which is full of different sea animal, parrots, monkeys, snakes and much more. This was probably everyone's favorite place we went to and did while we were at Mallorca. We were all blown away with the Dolphin show, I don't know about anyone else but it always make me happy when leaving that type of shows.

I can't comment on the shopping malls as we didn't really venture out unfortunely, we spent a lot of time playing cards, relaxing or jumping in the pool at the villa. We did go to a "British" food place which you can't beat having your own type of food i.e fish and chips with tomato sauce. We also went to Hard Rock Cafe and I couldn't help myself but purchase a Hard Rock Cafe jumper.

Overall my trip to Mallorca was lovely,  weather was just perfect I would definitely go back again to get away and relax, and it was also a perfect first holiday for my daughter. My future hubby and I were very proud parents.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection

Lately i've noticed a lot of beauty bloggers going on about the L'Oreal skin perfection collection out at the moment and I couldn't help myself to go buy and try. I have to put my hands up and admit that I have never been one to put creams on my face, but apparently when you hit your 20's it's best to start using creams to keep your skin looking young and fresh so after seeing the hype about these little beauties I had to try.

Before heading to bed I take off all my make-up just using a make-up wipe, the 3 in 1 solution is supposed to act like a make-up remover but I personally prefer to use it to unclog my pores and soothe out my skin. Using a cotton wool pad I cleanse my neck and face area and when you've finished I truly feel a difference my skin feels so much fresher, there's no alcohol or perfume in the solution and is suitable for sensitive skin.
It does the following dissolves make-up, unclogs pores and removes impurities, tones and soothes the skin. The 'Micellar' solution acts like a purifying magnet on the skin's surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities rather than spreading them round your face like some wipes can. It does explain everything at the back of the bottle, but I would highly recommend this if you have sensitive skin and your looking for something cheap. Boots are selling this at £3.33 or if you go to Adsa it's only £2.50.

After cleansing my face I use the Advanced Correcting Serum, I love using this. I've never used a serum on my face before I thought it would make your skin feel oily or greasy but it does the complete opposite. It goes on so well and you only need a pea sized amount, so this bottle i'm guessing will last you for quite some time. It's aim is to refine skin texture and tightens pores evens and brightens skin tone. I put this on before I put my foundation on and I feel a huge difference to my skin, also waking up in the morning my skin feels smoother and not greasy. I get dry skin so when I do use a cream I always wake up with greasy skin the next morning and this doesn't make my skin feel greasy at all. Also this product is for ALL skin types, for £13.33 I 100% think it's worth the hype and if your tempted to buy I'm pretty positive by saying you won't be let down.

Tans and Views

Lately I've been using my fake tan as I'm white as a ghost and the sun seems to be out more than usual so I want to have a nice natural tan. The tans I've been using lately are L'Oreal and St.Moriz.

I started using L'Oreal Sublime Bronze one day body it's £8.83 from Boots. It comes out like gel and gives you an instant tan and washes off easily . I really enjoy using this, it has a slight smell of Caramel, drys very quickly and easy to apply. I'm almost finished my bottle and I would defintely buy it again, If your looking for a tan that washes off at the end of the day I would recommend this.

This is new to Boots L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-tanning golden mouse it's normally £14.99 but was on a special offer at £9.99. I used it for a couple of days but personally I wouldn't go out and buy it again. My skin is super light so when I washed it off at the end of the day I wouldn't say it made a massive difference to my skin. When applying it comes out like mousse, drying takes a little more longer than others tans also when leaving it to dry I felt I was slightly sticky afterwards.

Last but not least St.Moriz instant self tanning mousse it's £2.99 from Home Bargains, now this is one of my must haves. I took this on holiday with me to give me a gradual darker tan while I was in Florida a couple of years ago and when I came back everyone thought I had a tan, exactly what I wanted everyone to think. Before I used St.Moriz I used St.Tropez self tan bronzing mousse it's £25.69 from Boots and I think it does the exact same thing as St.Moriz. I don't see why you would pay extra for a product especially when you can get the same thing cheaper. Long story short comes out like a dark mousse, easy to apply, drys quick and washes off at the end of the night leaving you with a slight tan.

When applying tan to save your hands looking like they have dark coloured gloves on this is a 100% a MUST HAVE a applicator mitt, you can purchase them from Superdrug or boots. The price range can be between £1.66-£4.99. Worth every little penny.
